The LAWGID Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Programme offers Erasmus Mundus (EMJM) scholarships to excellent students.
Number of Available Scholarships
For each LAWGID programme edition:
- 12 or 13 EMJM scholarships are available.
Across four programme editions, a maximum of 50 EMJM scholarships may be awarded.
Scholarship Amount and Duration
- The LAWGID EMJM scholarship amounts to EUR 1,400 per month.
- The scholarship is awarded for a maximum duration of two years.
What the Scholarship Covers
The scholarship represents a contribution to the costs incurred by beneficiary students and covers:
- travel costs,
- visa costs,
- accommodation costs,
- subsistence costs.
In addition:
- tuition fees, application fees and other mandatory programme-related costs are fully covered for LAWGID scholarship holders,
- full insurance for LAWGID students is covered through LAWGID programme institutional costs.
Eligibility and Selection Principles
LAWGID scholarships may be awarded to excellent students from all countries worldwide, provided that general eligibility conditions set out in the LAWGID Programme Partnership Agreement (LPPA) are fulfilled.
In the final selection stage, priority may be given to:
- candidates with disabilities,
- candidates belonging to the most marginalized and vulnerable minority groups,
- candidates from the poorest world regions.
At the same time, the LAWGID Consortium Management Board (LCMB), in coordination with the LAWGID Admission and Selection Committee (LASC), ensures geographical balance.
As a rule:
- no more than 10% of the total number of scholarships awarded during the implementation of the LAWGID programme may be granted to candidates of the same nationality.
Visas, Residence Permits and Insurance
LAWGID scholarship holders must fulfil the conditions for obtaining:
- visas and residence permits for study in Sweden, Italy and the Republic of Serbia.
Costs related to:
- visas,
- residence permits,
- and other common administrative services
are covered by the scholarship.
Candidates with Disabilities
Candidates with disabilities may apply for the LAWGID programme:
- with an EMJM scholarship, or
- as non-scholarship (tuition-fee) students.
A contribution to individual needs of LAWGID students with disabilities (both scholarship holders and non-scholarship holders) may be granted, provided that:
- general eligibility conditions under the EMJM Grant Agreement are fulfilled.
How to Apply for a LAWGID Scholarship
Candidates seeking an EMJM scholarship must:
- complete the LAWGID Program Application Form, and
- complete the LAWGID Program EMJM Scholarship Form.
During the application process, candidates may also indicate that:
- if they are not awarded an EMJM scholarship, they wish to enrol in the LAWGID programme with a tuition fee.
