INFORMATION REGARDING ACCOMMODATION IN BELGRADE

Students are responsible for arranging their own accommodation in Belgrade for the duration of the semester. The organizers of the LAWGID master’s programme are not responsible for the quality, type, or availability of accommodation.

However, given that many international students will be coming to Belgrade for the first time, we have provided below a number of accommodation options and recommendations intended to facilitate the housing search process.

Please note that students are strongly encouraged to begin contacting potential accommodation providers as soon as they receive their final admission decision, as available accommodation capacities tend to fill up quickly.

  1. OPTION 1 (HOSTELS WITHIN STUDENT RESIDENCE HALLS)

While international students are generally not eligible for regular dormitory accommodation, as dormitory places are allocated each year through a public application process, they may be eligible to stay in hostel facilities operating within certain student residence halls. As capacity is limited, students are advised to contact the relevant accommodation providers and make reservations as soon as possible.

  1. Studentski dom „Kralj Aleksandar I” (located near the Faculty of Law, 5 minutes on foot): The hostel offers single, double, and triple rooms (between 20 and 30 rooms in total). In triple rooms, one of the beds is an extra (fold-out) bed. Accommodation rates range from approximately EUR 20 to EUR 40 per night, depending on the room type and occupancy. Triple rooms are the most affordable option, while single rooms are the most expensive. Each room has a private bathroom and is equipped with basic amenities, including air conditioning and a television. Internet access is also available in all rooms through a Wi-Fi connection. Breakfast is included in the accommodation price and cannot be excluded from the reservation. In principle, there is no restriction on the length of stay, and rooms or individual beds may be reserved for both short-term and long-term periods, subject to availability. You can contact them at: konakkraljaleksandar@gmail.com or phone number +381648751164.
  2. Studentski dom Studentski grad (located in other part of Belgrade, 40 to 50 minutes travel by bus to the Faculty of Law or 1 hour and 20 minutes on foot): The hostel offers only triple rooms, but they can be booked for only one or two persons (11 rooms in total). Accommodation rates range from approximately EUR 20 to EUR 40 per night, depending on the room type and occupancy. You can contact them at: hostelsg@sc.rs or phone number +381648751163.
  • OPTION TWO (PRIVATE HOSTELS)

There are a number of private hostels in Belgrade. Unlike Option 1, where it is possible to book accommodation for several months, bookings in these private hostels are generally limited to one or two months. In any case, it is advisable to check the specific hostel that the person is interested in. We will provide links to several hostels located near the Faculty of Law, but everyone is free to conduct additional research on their own. The links contain all the necessary contact information. Please also review the ratings and reviews that the hostels have received.

  • OPTION THREE (RENTING AN APARTMENT)

This option refers to renting apartments through websites commonly used by people in Belgrade to find rental properties. Below are links to the main websites used for this purpose. The biggest challenge is that these websites generally do not offer a filter for apartments available only for a limited rental period. This can usually be discussed only after contacting the agency or the property owner directly.

  • OPTION FOUR (AIR BNB OR BOOKING)

Accommodation can also be searched for through Airbnb. Airbnb is generally the better option, as Booking.com’s search settings typically allow users to search for stays of up to only three months at a time.
