Disability Support

Support for students with disabilities – Additional financial support for enrolled students

LAWGID is committed to supporting the participation of students with disabilities in the programme.

Students with disabilities may be eligible to receive additional financial support in the form of a contribution to individual needs. This support is available to enrolled students (with or without scholarship) with disabilities:

  1. whose long-term physical, mental, intellectual or sensory impairments are certified by a competent national authority and of such nature that their participation in the action would not be possible without the special needs items or services
  2. the special needs items or services are not already covered from another source (such as social security or health insurance)
  3. the number of units declared corresponds to the number of special needs units that were needed for implementing the action.

The contribution may be used for special items or services necessary for participation in the programme, such as assistance by third persons, adaptation of the study or working environment, additional travel or transportation costs, or other disability-related needs.

Each request is assessed individually and in accordance with the eligibility conditions set out in the EMJM Grant Agreement for the LAWGID programme.

Students who need this type of support will be asked to indicate their individual needs and estimated costs as part of the application or enrolment procedure.
