The main learning outcomes of the program are the following:
- Gaining in-depth knowledge of reasons for integrating intersectionally articulated gender perspective (i.e. perspective of multiple discrimination and multiple power relations) into the fields of law, economics, politics and public policies, strategic and normative documents, and especially education in general and higher education in particular within the European Union and its member states and accession countries, as well as concerning relations of the European Union and other international organizations and states in the global context.
- Enhancement of knowledge, system of values and awareness on multiple discrimination based on gender, race, class, age, culture etc., i.e. to comprehend mutual crossing of power relations within gender-based intersectional discrimination, and to contribute to widening an awareness on gender-based and intersectionally expressed discrimination beyond the scope of academic community, throughout the wider public sphere.
- Expanding of the practical knowledge related to intersectionally defined gender equality implementation through Legal Clinics focused on the issues of anti-discrimination and combatting gender-based violence and sexual harassment, and through the Life Long Learning Platform focused on enhancing knowledge, system of values and on combatting gender-based intersectional discrimination.
- Achieving of the ever innovative and current knowledge thanks to the constant update on the ongoing changes and current developments within the EU gender equality legal and strategic documents, with at the same time preserving the matrix of a high quality cognitive/ analytical approach to acquiring basic knowledge on intersectionality, diversity and gender equality issue in legal and multidisciplinary framework, while making sure all relevant legal developments are included too, as well as various EU policies and practices in that regard.
- Acquiring knowledge about the practice of the Court of Justice and the European Court of Human Rights in gender equality, intersectionality and diversity related case law.
- Creating access for students to opportunities for internships, as well as expert jobs in European judicial institutions.
- Acquiring the practical skills set dealing with the English language terminology relevant for the gender equality, intersectionality and diversity discourse, academic communication and the use of research and scholarly sources, as well as the use of Internet in these fields.
