Issuance of Diplomas

In order to receive their diplomas, graduates must comply with the standard administrative procedures of each partner university, such as submitting a formal request for diploma issuance.

The LAWGID programme awards multiple diplomas, meaning that:

  • each partner university issues its own diploma and diploma supplement,
  • each diploma and diploma supplement covers the entire content of the LAWGID programme,
  • all diplomas and supplements contain a clear reference to the LAWGID programme.

In total, each graduate receives:

  • three diplomas, and
  • three diploma supplements.

The form and content of each diploma are adjusted to the national educational rules of the respective partner university.

Fees for Issuing Diplomas

  • LAWGID scholarship holders are exempt from fees for the issuance of multiple diplomas.
These costs are covered by the LAWGID EMJM grant institutional costs.
  • LAWGID non-scholarship holders are required to pay the fees related to the issuance of multiple diplomas.

Specific Requirements Related to the University of Belgrade

In accordance with the Law on Higher Education, diplomas issued by the University of Belgrade can be awarded only if:

  • the student has been enrolled and held active student status at UB for each semester, and
  • foreign students have been enrolled at UB on the basis of a completed procedure for the recognition of foreign higher education documents.

Mutual Recognition and Data Exchange

All partner universities mutually share information on students and their study progress in order to ensure:

If a graduate attended:

  • optional courses that were not held during the specific LAWGID programme edition, or
  • additional courses introduced on an ad hoc basis,

this information is included in the diploma supplement.
