The LAWGID Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Programme ensures a transparent, fair and non-discriminatory admissions process. Candidates have the right to submit an appeal under the conditions set out below.
Grounds for Appeal
Ineligible candidates are informed by e-mail:
- of the reasons for their exclusion, and
- of the available appeal procedure.
Appeals are considered only in cases where the applicant believes that:
- there has been a failure in the admissions procedure, or
- they have been unlawfully discriminated against during the selection process.
Appeals based solely on dissatisfaction with the outcome of the selection process are not admissible.
Submission of Appeals
All appeals must:
- be submitted in writing,
- be sent within 36 hours after the decision has been communicated to the candidate,
- be addressed to the LAWGID Consortium Management Board (LCMB).
Decision on Appeals
Appeals are examined and decided upon by the LCMB, in consultation with the Admission and Selection Committee.
As a rule:
- appeals are addressed within 24 hours of receipt,
- where an appeal is rejected, the applicant receives a reasoned explanation.
If an error in the admissions procedure is identified, the Admission and Selection Committee is encouraged to acknowledge it, and the LCMB takes appropriate steps to ensure that similar issues do not occur in future selection processes.
